The school celebrated Republic Day with gusto . Studentsfrom various school assembled atG.S.S.S. SDM Dr. Munish Nagpal hoisted the National Flag. Students of PLJCSpresented a Haryanvi Dance .A team of students was part of parade , band andDrill . Spectators applauded the effortsof students .
In the school assembly students staged skits highlightingthe sacrifices made by the freedom fighters . Principal Mrs. Manju Sudhakar told students about the constitution and motivated them to followin the foot steps of great martyrs.
Lohri Celebration
The school celebrated Lohri with great zeal . Students danced to the beats of Dhol and Sang Lohri songs.Adminstrator Mr. T. C, Jindal and ManagerMr. Mohan Lal hit the bonefire . ThePrincipal Mrs. Manju Sudhakar emphasized the need to stay connected to cultural roots . It was followed by the distribution of groundnut, rewari and gachak among students and staff .

The school celebrated Makar Sankranti with fervor, Principal Mrs.Manju Sudhakar told students that the festival marked the transition of the suninto the zodiac sign of Capricorn on its celestial path. She said theday marked the arrival of spring in India . A kite flying event was also heldon the occasion .

SALAD MAKING COMPETITION
An Inter House SaladMaking Competition was organized for the students of classes VIII and IX. Theobjective behind the competition was to inculcate healthy food habits andawareness regarding the choice of food among youth. Each house was representedby four members.
Cleanliness, safety, taste and presentation were the basiccriterion for judgment.

The festival of MakarSankranti makes the termination of winter season and the beginning of a newharvest or spring season. In India it is known by different regional names asPongal, Uttarayan, and Sankarmana. It is celebrated throughout India and Kiteflying is an important part of celebration.
The children of Primary Wing flew Kites with the help andguidance of teachers. The students and teachers had uniquely designed theKites. Overall children enjoyed the activities and had lot of fun.
